Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the practice of observing your experience from a compassionate, aware, non judgemental perspective.  This awareness increases your ability to shift thoughts and behaviors to what serves you in the present moment, rather than thinking and doing things from the habitual place that you have always done them.  

Many people often feel stuck in patterns of thoughts and behaviors that have developed because of the past but are not serving them in the present.  The practice of mindfulness builds awareness and is the first step to lasting change.  

I will guide you in using techniques that will build your mindfulness “muscle” therefore increasing the likelihood that behavioral changes will be sustainable over time.  We will develop an individualized plan that is suited to your needs, strengths and challenges.  This in conjunction with working on the other integrated therapeutic approaches (mental health, nutrition, physical) will help you unlock your greatest potential.
